I had 800watt amp, it fell over and broke, i now have a 1000 watt amp of the same make, tried to fit it in and the power light comes on then dies down in about 4 seconds, does this mean the battery isn't putting through enough power? even tho it did for the 800watt fli amp.

Any info is much apreciated and keep it simple as im dumb :) cheers lol

Battery?

What kind of amp are you talking about here?

thanks for reply!

its called a FLI 1000s amp, powering two 12inch mutant subs, that worked before. I couldn't have wired it wrong, but that wouldn't account for the light going off in about 4 secs. then i put it on the ground/middle connection and the light comes on, but only dies when it connects to 12v input.

This is not a car forum. However miss wiring will cause any amp to blow or shut down. Disconnect the speakers and see if it still shuts down. If it does, the unit is no good. If does not, then you have either a wiring fault, or your subs are too low an impedance for that amp.
