I'm Missing Channel 7

Hi All,

My wife and I wanted a flat screen TV on the wall of our bedroom. We had an electrician put in an electrical outlet and also pull coax to the loacation.

To install the coax, the electrician used a splitter to bring the cabel signal from a cabel running to an adjacent room, ran the coax through the ceiling, and installed a coax terminal next to the new electrical outlet.

I installed the TV on a mount and ran a coax cabel between the tv and the wall outlet. Everything works wonderfully except that I can't get channel 7 to come in clearly. The picture is there but filled with heavy snow and the sound is greatly reduced.

The TV is a Panasonic 42" plasma that is about 4 or 5 years old. Our Cabel Service provider is WOW and we are generally happy with them and are not having any similar issues on the other TVs in the house.

If you can save me from having to crawl up into the attic, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

Jim

Disconnect the bedroom feed and see if that clears it up, if so get another splitter and try it, ie a good one.

I can't get channel 7

Thanks for the idea. Will give it a try. Just so you know, I checked the setup menu to make sure that channel 7 was "selected" and it was.

I'll bet it's a signal strength issue. When I ran my coax through a surge protector, I lost two entire channels. You don't have anything running through surge protectors do you?

No surge protectors are being used. Thanks for the idea though.
