Ok, surrounds to complete my 7.1 system? I have, but not set up yet: (2) KEF iQ90's, (1) KEF iQ60c, & (1) Polk PSW505 sub. Rec.= Onkyo 809
My thinking was to put the $$ into the front sounds, & go cheap in the surrounds. Like maybe BIC DV62si for $108 pr., or Sony's(never thought I would consider, but good reviews), or JBL's, Polks?
As far as my backs go, I really like the way the Polk OWM3's ($80 pr.) will look mounted about 6ft. up & behind me.
Question is, just how important are the surrounds? Aren't they more or less filler sound?
Or should I just go with my first thought & get the matching (2) KEF iQ30's for $380 pr., along with the Polk OWM3's mentioned above?
So can I get away with $200 surrounds?
Or will I be much happier spending $500 now, for the long run?
This is going in my gameroom with 2 open walls, btw.
Sitting distance from surrounds will be less than 6ft. on either side.
Any & all input will help!
