Hi

I'm a girlie so excuse the non-technical lingo! I wondered if you could shed some light on something for me.

Its re surround sound. I have a Sony AV Amp TA VE100 and an Subwoofer SA-W10.

The Amp is connected to the ear phone symbol from my TV into the L & R AUX bit of the amp. The SB is connected from the back of the SB via a cable into the mix out bit on the Amp.

The SB isn't working - the green light is on, and if I touch the end of the cable plud thing it hums but if I actually plug it into the amp I get nothing.

Help?

I managed to find a user manual for your very old pro logic AV receiver on Diplocs.

That is a very out of date piece of equipment, it has no LFE channel and does not support the use of a powered sub.

You will have to connect your speaker outputs to the sub with speaker wires and then connect your speakers to the sub and not the receiver. That is your only option.

You really need a modern AV receiver, sorry.
