I'm going to save you all lots of decisions.
If you are looking for a great projection TV...run , don't walk to your nearest dealer and buy the Sony KDF55wf655 LCD
TV. I'm not kidding! I had a Toshiba DLP set for three weeks which I thought was good until I had some problems with it. Lucky for my I returned it to BEst Buy and spotted one of these Sony's. I have had it for three days and I kid you not...they haven't been able to pull me out of my recliner! Its that good. GREAT COLOR! Unbelievably sharp and very forgiving of the signal. I just watched the HDTV broadcast of seabiscuit and I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen...the Toshiba pales by comparison. Now I'm sure puriests and pixel peepers will complain about black level, etc...but I'm telling you, if you just want to enjoy great satisfying tv and video with rich colors and great sharpness...save yourself aggravation and buy this set...NO
I don't work for Sony...but I am a professional photographer and am very picky about color and saturation and this set has me totally infatuated....just got to watch out my wife doesn't leave me over this. Wouldn't mind though if Sony gave me another one for my studio, so I could work and watch at the same time. Cheers!

Sorry,

But I have to share that I got a great deal at CC. After I returned the Toshiba, Best Buy wanted to woo me into make another purchase. They quoted me price of 2750. CC was selling for 2799, but they gave it to me for
2650...so don't be afraid to bargain. I was just wondering if their extended 4 year warranty is worth it , or if I can get a cheaper one from Sony

Hi
On the Sony
be sure to turn the contrast, brightness and sharpness down to sane levels
also they ship them with the RED way over saturated if you put your copy of Avia or VE in you will notice the red oversaturation and the yellow is not perfect yellow it trends orange you can adjust this in the user menu
This is a nice LCD congrats on your purchace

The KDF55wf655 is currently at the top of my list although I MAY end up with the 50" because I will only sit about 8 feet away. 8 Feet is right at the recommended distance of twice the screen width, but maybe the extra size of the 55 will work too.

In my opinion, the Sony LCDs do the best with standard def signals and since SD will be with us for a quite a while longer, I feel that is an important criteria when choosing a tv.
