So I had intended to simply check availability on one of the SVS products: next thing I know, I'm receiving a confirmation e-mail for a new PB12-Ultra in rosewood (it'll match the Spendor speakers). I can't decide if I'm so tickled at my new sub that I'm ignoring my atypical purchasing behavior, or that I'm so stunned at the money I spent on a whim I haven't considered who I'm going to get to help me move the bloody thing downstairs (evidently it weighs 115 lbs.). I think I'll tell Tracy I've decided to take an interest in home decorating-and as such, I've purchased a quality end table for the den...whaddya think?

Bryan...doesn't matter once she hears it, 'o course-she'll love it...

Very nice! You'll never leave the room. Now go out and get all the dvd's SVS recommends in their brochure. Showing off the system will never end with the neighbors and family. Just make them bring the beer and munchies!

I've got a surprising number of their recommendations already: I'm pretty curious to hear the difference between the my current sub and the SV. I've been slowly replacing my DefTec Pro Monitor 80/Pro Sub 100TL setup with the Spendors and now I'll finally have a bit of range down low for the LFE stuff *and* a more musical sub for the tunes. Now I'm wondering how this will compare to my buddy's Velodyne sub (I'm pretty sure he has one of the old SPL-II subs, with the 12 inch driver).

I just finished watching LOTR ROTK. I hear the Helms Deep battle scene mentioned a lot for demos but I got to tell you the battle at the city of Gondor where the elephants are droping like flys is unbelievable. Even my wife couldn't believe how loud it was and how much the room was shaking. It's a good sign when my wife is happy with my latest audio upgrade, it means my next upgrade will be sooner rather than later.

I'm enjoying my new PB12-ISD and I bet you are going to love that Ultra!

Wait till you see the size of the box it comes in. No one was around when mine was delivered. Fortunately I had a rubber tire dolly here. Njoy....
