If you have a decent preamp with a headphone jack, do you need a dedicated headphone amp?

I have a NAD preamp that has a output jack that I use with my Focal Clear MG's. The sound is good but I am wondering if I purchased something like a Topping A90 would that really improve my listening experience?

As long as your gear can drive them appropriately, I wouldn't worry about it. I would wonder just what the change in electronics' spec you think would make a difference in relation to your headphone's particular requirements is, tho.
