Watched this last night.
The movie is about a campaign for president, following the campaign 'managers.' As the title suggests, it plays into the corruption and 'deals' that aren't really new to us. So, is it worth watching still? Yeah, I'd say so. The performances, well-written script and good direction make up for its somewhat predictable meaning (the story isn't predictable per say, I just mean the message is kinda like 'no ****?!' hehe)
Philip Seymour Hoffman gives an amazing performance, as he seems to always do. Ryan Grosling does great also, as George Clooney obviously can play the roll of a presidential candidate very well. He did well directing and apparently did some of the writing too, which is very well done.
Nutshell: Don't expect to learn much, but enjoy the ride if there isn't anything higher on your list.
Movie: 7.5
Picture: 8 (The movie doesn't lend itself to demo picture quality material, but the transfer is clean, blacks are rich,
Sound: 8 (Dialog mostly, but cleanly recorded, ambience could have been done up a bit more)
