ideas?? Studio 20

hi, been squeezing my pea brain on how to mount this 20s without drilling the Studios and no clamping as well... without exposing the cables... ADP is it the last choice?

Gotta love posts that assume we’re all mind readers. I was able to figure out that you’re taking about some Paradigm speakers, but what is ADP?

I’m going to hazard a guess from your succinct post that you’re trying mount the speakers to a wall? What happened to the wall-mounting brackets that Paradigm supplied with the speakers?

If you’ve lost them and don’t like clamps or drilling into the speaker, and the mysterious ADP doesn’t work out, you always have the option of mounting a shelf on the wall that the speakers can sit on.

Having used the ADP Studio series Dipole Surrounds I would strongly suggest considering them for your surrounds, I was very happy with mine before I upgraded to GoldenEar

the clamp on bracket don't really seems to match...and moreover there will be cables expose... uhmmm i do consider wallmounting is not only saving space, there's a need for design too..

The clamp on brackets don't really seems to match, and moreover there will be cables exposed. Wall mounting is not only for saving space, there's a need for design considerations as well.

If you don't want to clamp or drill, then you're only option is a shelf. If you don't want wires exposed then you're either looking at cable tunnels taped to the walls or you're going to need to cut some holes in the drywall and snake the wires through.

shelving was the 1st option i had connsidered before but i gave it a pass due to some reasons... the studio series aren't really meant for wallmounting there are standmounted speakers.
There are few models from Paradigm , ADP are one of those surround speakers. lastly thanks for your kind recommendation.

yup...drilling on sucha nice pair of speakers will need alot of courage from me.. lol...i got a last resort i planned long ago... they are standmount... hahaha...

This is actually pretty easy. In order to wall-mount a speaker it must use a bracket that attaches to the speaker, which in turns mounts to the wall. Or you put them on a shelf. It’s as simple as that. You don’t want to drill into the speakers, don’t want to use a shelf, and don’t want a solution that uses a clamp, so I’m not really sure how you expect to accomplish this, or what you expect from us, as you’ve ruled out all the options. It’s kinda like saying “I want to go swimming but I don’t want to get wet” or “I want to go hiking but I hate walking.”

ummm, you didn't mention that you would want to use the 20s for something else in the future.

I am in Wayne's boat, you ask for suggestions, then rule them all out, so not sure how to help you on this.

I had the ADPs and built a shelf for them, based on you question, you have have ruled out pretty much all scenarios, so I wish you success on whatever you do.

I also saw an image of this done using simple macrame plant hangers (without the shelf). Nice thing about that was you could angle speakers down if desired.
