Ideas for receiver in floating wall cabinet

Hi there. I have a floating wall cabinet (mounted to the wall with no legs) and a 55' TV mounted just above the cabinet. The existing cables from the components inside the cabinet are run up inside the wall to the TV. However, when I attempt to run new cables through the wall, they get stuck and I need to pull them back out. So the alternative is for me to run the wires on the outside of the cabinet up to the TV, which I don't want.

So I would like to purhase a receiver, place it in the cabinet and connect everything to the receiver and use the existing hdmi cable to go from the receiver up to the TV. The problem is that I only have a depth of 12.5 inches in the cabinet.

The only options I am aware of is to purchase a small receiver, however I can't seem to find one with 3 or 4 hdmi in. Alternatively I could purchase a full size receiver, put it in my unfinished basement, connect via IR remote and run the cables up through the wall (although my preference would be to have the receiver in the same room as my cabinet).

Any ideas or suggestions? Is there a receiver that would fit into this depth that I can consider?

Do the existing cable's move freely ?...if so you could use them to pull some extra ones in...
Marantz do some very slimline receiver's if you dont need much power...although back to front measurement are the same as all other's...about half the height of standard stuff though
Wouldnt really want to reccomend teac to anybody
But they do some weird shaped stuff

As twoeyebob said, attach the new cables to the ends of the old cables and pull them through as one long cable.

Offhand, I can't think of any real receivers that are 12.5 inches or less in depth.

If you find a small enough receiver but it doesn't have enough hdmi ports, you can always use a hdmi switch
