Lookin for some suggestions on what to do in terms of size of my theatre room. Here is a layout of my basement. I'm going to use my old 60 sxrd sony with a 100" screen in front of it with a 6.1 energy system. I despartly need suggestions of how much clearance I need and how to close up this huge room. Send me an email and I can forward you a pic of the basement as I can insert it for some reasoninfiniti23@sasktel.net

I think you need 5 posts to insert links & pics. Single/double row seating? How far out from the front wall would the screen be? You'll want front viewing distance about 11' from the screen. Minimally something on the order or 15' x 22' would be good.

You can pad your post count with replies and ??s here without too much objection.

theatre room

The room I have to work with is 30X20 but there is a stairwell so I have to close it off. Leave me an email address and I can send you a copy of the blueprint

Personally, I'd use the entire available space and increase the screen size. What Energy speaker models are you planning on using and what are you powering the system with?

theatre room

energy connosieur ,12'' sub and a yamaha 7.1x 110 fer channel no hdmi switch though. You have to see this space because it will be awkward closing it of because of a railing halfway down the staircase.

zoning

The amp does have zoning on it but I cant remember the model. It was their last high end amp before hdmi switch. I just figured instead of buying a new amp I could just go by a hd switch
