Judging by the shape of that UPS, it is an APC LS-500 or LS-700. I have the LS-700 but it is grey.

Don't most of the components have brand names on them? It's hard to see from the blurry picture but you can sort of make out APC on the UPS and the two components on the third shelf clearly have a brand or model name in red on the upper left.

Looks like two Adcom GTP-502 Preamp / Tuners side by side on the 3rd shelf. Above them is an older model Sony DBS receiver.

Second shelf is definitely Adcom with I believe a cable box on top.
Fourth shelf is a APC UPS, a router and hubs.
Fifth shelf is NAD amplifiers (rack handles give it away)
Sixth shelf (cutoff) I believe is more NAD Amps

nice work with the picture...

what are the purpose of the adcom things? and why 2.. multi zones? thats what i am guessing with the 2 300 disk cd/dvd changers and the sony possibly 6 disk changer.. but then maybe not because there are only enough amps for one set of speakers...

I believe the lower shelf out of the picture is more amps. That would be at least 4 amps. Even if they were only stereo amps that would give you 8 channels. By the looks of the network, it might even have multi-room audio.

The Adcom "things" are two tuners/preamps (old school?). It might not be a multi channel system, just stereo.

Actually, that article was a joke. We don't actually recommend using the same brand for everything.

I sure hope we don't need to start adding disclaimers to our editorials...

Well, how small of a font can you get? It would be a funny adder to you signature!
