I'd Love Some Speaker Advice: A Followup

I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my previous post. I rethought things and looked at some of the sites recommended. Based on what I've found, my budget, and space considerations, ( I don't have room for towers/floor speakers:mad:), I've narrowed my choices down to:

Aperion
632-LR for fronts
5B for rears
634-VAC for center

Total cost: $1543

or

Axiom
M22 for fronts
QS8 for rears
VP150 for center

Total cost: $1418

So any thoughts? Both companies seem to be pretty well regarded. Looking at the specs the Axiom M22 has dual 5.25 woofers compared to Aperion's single 6.25, but I don't even know if that makes any difference. It appears that Axiom gives you a little bit more bang for the buck but I'd love to get some input from the experts on this site.

A reply to your thread: A follow up.

You do not need to make a new thread.

I'd still take the SVS 7.1 SBS-01 system with a PB-12NSD over those system. Comes to $12** before shipping.

I have listened to the M22 with a sub and they sound great. They play very clean and give you a lot of detail. The QS8 surrounds are one of the top rated surrounds around.

The only downside to the M22 is that it will give you ALL the detail in a recording. That means that poorly recorded material like low bitrate MP3 will sound poor.
The Aperion 632 looks like it would be closer to Axiom's M3 (a more forgiving speaker than the M22).
Did you check the 'hearing things' section of the on Axiom's site to see if there is someone close by that might let you listen to their M22s?

Speaker options

Nice speaker options.
Since Aperion is risk free and Axiom has a good trial/return policy, you might consider an in home demo of the bookshelf speakers from both companies.

AV123 is another ID company that offers a risk free trial of their bookshelf speakers. There X-seris and ELT lines are in your budget.

Just read my sig :D I love me some Aperions, and they have real wood finishes, not plastic wrap. Yeah I know Aperion only offers two finishes, but they are immaculate. Save some money and get 532's for rears.

I originally had 632 LR's and traded up to my towers. The 632's were awesome.

Aperion pays shipping BOTH ways, and they have a 1 year trade in trade up program. Who else does that?

Oh yeah, I auditioned a Bravus 12D sub for several weeks, but it wasn't enough for me. Sounded incredable but would distort at Rock Concert levels. Look here for sub ratings, with a grain of salt.
