Hey just a quick update, I just got my Great Gramma for my Ultra. To help me with my couch vibrating and levitating off the ground lol . I also just switched to the 15hz tune with one port plugged just to give it a try . Do you think I should recalibrate when switching tunes ? Im going to test the gamma and new tune with Iron Man without recalibrating with the exception of course switching the sub to the 15hz tune . Heres a some pics of the Gramma and BTW im sure loving my Ultra and the Rosenut is just a mouth watering finish :D

I would say that you should definitely recalibrate after switching the tune, including your PEQ setting as appropriate.

BTW, it's "Gramma." :)

EDIT: I agree, that is a fantastic looking finish. I'm glad that you went with it!

Hey, enjoy the movie first if you want! I'm just saying that you'll want to recalibrate with the new tune, but subs are first and foremost to be enjoyed. :)

Interesting I just did the auto calibrating with my AVR and with The Gramma and switching to the 15 tune on my sub . It Raised my sub level up from 1.5 to 05 . Maybe its because theres less vibration with the gramma and or switching to the 15 hz tune . Well time to test a movie or two out :D

Just finished watching BlaclHawk Down and this is what I noticed with the 15hz tune and Gramma . Much less and almost removed all massive couch shaking and vibrations except for the really low db bass scenes. It feels like I lost some mid bass but gained more lower bass if that makes any sense and I like it thus far . I can definitely tell the difference with one port plugged and Gramma , it seems cleaner for example less rumble with the sounds of tanks and jeep exhaust but hits harder with bombs and grenades . It was clean and sounded great before but I think I like this tune a little better with Black Hawk Down anyway . Sunday I think I'll try The Dark Knight and IronMan.

Good to know that it's cutting out that much vibration. Sounds like you had some serious shaking going on before:D You did still get a little rumble right?;)

Oh yes still getting the rumble just not as violent lol and running the 15 hz tune I think is a great combo.

Your threads have me sitting here trying to figure out how to get a new sub into my place without anyone noticing.... Not so easy as I'd have to have it delivered to the parents, pick it up, and then get it here. Was looking at the book for my JBL and it's -6db at 30Hz :(:(:( I need to stop even opening the Sub section of the forum. I know I'm going to end up buying an SVS before the summers out.

Glad you're enjoying yours man. Good clean bass is a dream of mine.

If your on a concrete slab you probably wont prosper from a Gramma but if your room is on wood you'll get a lot of vibrations and looser bass . The Gramma basicaly seperates "isolates" it from the floor . Its working great for my application. BTW you are so lucky living close to SVS and did I mention I hate you for it  LOL j/k :D kind of :p

Rent war. It's got some great explosions, but I'm interested in U-571 once I get my subs. That will be a movie I try. The cops will visit. I'll blame it on a plane.:D My subs will be too small to be considered loud. I'll be like see these subs are real small. Not capable of shaking nothing.
