I want a receiver around $800

Hi everybody! My first post here. I came here to look for advice on selecting my next a/v receiver. A little on the high side for me is the Denon 3806 and the Onkyo 805. More to my price range is the Onkyo 674. Anyone can weigh in with suggestions.

Most importantly would be knowing what you want from the receiver and the speakers you have to push it.

A blind guess of something else to look at would be the Denon 2807 which can be found for around 800 bucks.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I like something with HDMI switching ability. I have some good bang for the buck speakers that have pretty good sound and can take about 100 watts. I don't care about going any louder than that.
I will take a look at the Denon 2807.

The Onkyo 705 should be in your price range when it gets released (don't know when that will be, but I'm guessing by August).
