Hello everyone, Kinda of a long story here so bear with me. About a year ago we had a power outage here in Philadelphia. The voltage meter on my Monster power center began flickering when the power was restored. (Maybe a surge of some sort, I don't really know) Nothing I did would reset it. My equipment seemed fine. No performance issues at all. Since then I have purchased my blue-ray player and TV. So recently I decided to replace the Monster power center with a Panamax MR 5100, as the Monster power center was out of warranty.
I installed it on Saturday. Since I had to move my rig out from the wall, I decided to review all connections. I noticed the sub has two inputs on the back, one labeled input and one labeled crossover. I was using the input side, but decided to look into this and called Energy to ask for their recommendation. They said if my receiver was performing bass management, I should change to the crossover input and rerun the Yamaha set up program, which I did. The drawback of course is that any change to sub level must now be done through the GUI.
Fast forward to Monday Night Football. Watching game in 5.1, all is good, setup is coax out of cable box to coax input on the receiver. Then all hell brakes loose. Message flashes on receiver that says "Check SP wires" The the receiver shut off. Tuesday - The Cable/Sat input on the receiver doesn't work. Intermittent sound, very low volume etc. Is it possible one input is fried?? Tuner and CD analog input works fine

Also about 2 months ago when I pull up the Yamaha GUI on my screen, the background wallpaper no longer displays

I bought the receiver new, and it has worked flawlessly since, and I had no plans to replace it anytime soon. You think my beloved 2500 might be done?? Thanks for reading the long post. Any help would be really appreciated at this point......
