I think I've got a sub picked out...

Pretty sure that I'm going to go with either SVS PB12-Plus for $1,050, or the 20-39 PC Plus.

With the cylinder speaker... Can I put that in a corner and then put a chair in front of it (upholstered, but with open bottom... pretty hight feet). Chair into corner at angle, to hide speaker. Will that mess up the sound. Seems like it can still go up, out the bottom (a down firing sub) and around the chair. Thoughts...

Also, before I pull the trigger on one of these two, I have found a few references to these speakers that indicate they are better suited for HT than Music.

A) Do any of you find that to be true?

B) At a $1,000 limit, what would you consider to be a better music sub.

System going in a HUGE room. Far from perfect, but I can't go more than $1,000. Maybe a second $1,000 down the road, but this is all I can spend right now.

I would have to second the AV123 MFW-15 multiplied deux... for the money it will manhandle the SVS that you are looking at.

A pair of AV123 MFW-15s look like a winner to me also if you have the room for them. If you only have room for one subwoofer then the HSUs are worth looking at in the under $1000 category too.
