I think I have decided...

on my L/C/R and surrounds. After looking at every theater system under the sun in my price range (under $7-800 for 5 speakers) I am going to demo the Paradigm Cinema 220`s this week. Looked at Klipsch...not my sound. Cadence audio, too big. Infinity Primus...did not like the look or the frequency/sensitivity/amplitude stats. Never have liked Polk or Bose. I might add that my 5 must be wall mounts. I also have a killer sub in my Velo 3750. I am 80/20 movie/music, so I hope that I have found my soul mate! Until I hear them, I will not be sold, but based upon all other criteria, these are my girls! Only wish I could afford the 330`s! Yes, I did look really hard at the Energy line. Hate the look (like most, I could not audition them due to my remote location). I did audition Monitor Audio and liked, not loved them and Klipsch Quintet SL...hated them.
My biggest question is ..."where can I get a deal on Paradigms?" The only AD nearby me is 50 miles away and they do not have 110,220 or330`s for me to hear.

Aren't Paradigms at another level compared to Primuses?

I mean this isn't an apples to apples IMO. Paradigms are a step up over everything you mentioned IMO.

Yes and No. The Klipsch Sl is $799.00. Klipsch sound is not my cup of tea. The Cinema 220 is similarly priced. The Cadence audio is $529.00 so yes a bit cheaper and most likely sounds so. The Infinity Primus....just is not there for me. Hate the look and freq,/sensitvity/modulation is mediocre. I will say that +/- $200.00 of $600.00 is "in my range". I have not found a 5 speaker system around $800.00 that has equal specs and the reputation to match Paradigm. Granted, I do not have the opportunity to audition a ton of stuff, nor am I an expert.

Well if you can't audition you can't tell what you will like.

Thankfully there are numerous online companies that will give you an in home audition.

I like KEF speakers, Paradigms are better than Klipsch IMO, except the high end Klipsch stuff.
