After changing my room layout which included moving my Audio and Video equipment my subwoofer stopped working once I plugged all the connections back in. It was working fine before.
I think I may have short-circuited it or blown it when reconnecting the cables. Is this possible?
I wouldnt be surprised as prior to the move I had many heavy duty things in the one plug pack-standard. (Computer, Monitor, TV, VCR, DVD, AMP and Sub). After the move the items are more spread out between two plug packs (6 and 4). One heavy duty one and a standard one. The sub doesnt work in both plug packs. The 6 plug pack has a faulty plug hole preventing me from pluging in a plug. I was jamming one of my plugs in there. Could this have caused a problem if the power was on?
Note: The power light in on on the Sub and there is no voltage switch in case you are wondering
As for the connections. I think its connected properly. Its in the subwoofer hole near the other speaker connections in my Reciever. I did notice when taking it out and touching other connections that there was a loud base sound but this disappeared when I entered it back in the sub hole, then there was silence even with sub to max. Still it doesnt work.
At times I have had the sub to its full since I love loud trance music. Now my sound system sounds crap without it - the Speakers and Amp work. I want it back. Any thoughts?
Lastly could there be a setting in the Reciever that controls the sub?
Many thanks for replies
