I need your help. I'll soon be reworking my HT system. I'll be buying several stereo amps and I'm also considering purchasing a new receiver or prepro.

Here are the criteria for each.

Amps:
Used, well regarded
2 channel at 100-150 WPC into 8 ohm
Somewhat commonly available on ebay or audiogon at under $275 each

Here are some already on the list
Adcom GFA-545II
NAD 2200

Receiver / Prepro requirements
Needs to be pretty much brand new or less than a yr old. with 7.1 processing, 5.1 pre-in and bass management for SACD and have an excellent preamp section. Also have preouts if a receiver. Under $1100 at retail. The amp section wouldn't be used so that's of little concern

I already have a Sony DA4ES Receiver, so if it isn't better than this, it shouldn't be considered. Also all of this equiptment should mate well with the Axiom M22ti's that I've already decided on.

All suggestions welcomed. This info would really help me out, thanks in advance.

If you've already decided on the M22's why buy separate amps? Just get a good receiver (any of the ones discussed in this forum) for $1200 or so & call it good. If that doesn't do it for you, you can add amps later. From what I've read here the M22's will be just fine w/o add-on amps.
Take your amp-allotted dollars & put them toward the best sub you can buy.

I want the flexibility of seperates. I already have a receiver that compares well with most of the ones often suggested here. Primarily I'm looking for "bang for the buck" used stereo amps around $ 250 that would probably cost 2 to 3 times as much new. I'm considering the two above, but would like more suggestions.

The preamp is less of a concern since my current reciever is adequate, though not fantastic, in this regard.

Have you looked at the Outlaw 950? It seems well regarded at well under a grand.
