I need to replace the RCA plugs on the end of my phono cable. Like most phonos, it is a side by side zip cord style with molded plugs. Would there be a problem if I cut the plug end off of a good cord, strip off the insuation, and twist them together, and put electrical tape on each???I'd replace the cord, but its hard wired plus a bear to get at.
Any comments would be appreciated, Chuck

Are both of the RCA connectors bad, or is just one? If you can, I'd really recommend that you get a new cable. You won't hear something better (well, shouldn't unless your current cable is messed up), but it would probably have better shielding and such.
