I purchased a pair of great condition Cerwin Vega DX 7's. Got them home and notice when volume elevated (a little less than 1/2 volume) bass speakers kind of sound like helicopters (best description I have)... They get worse as volume raised. I notice the extrusion is crazy and just goes 100 mph non stop. I got to looking and noticed they had been refoamed. Thought maybe they got screwed up so I purchased a pair that needed foamed and did this pair myself. They turned out great as I have done many pairs in the past with success. Installed these, same result. I have a Pioneer SA 9800 amp and a Pioneer SX 1250 reciever. Same result on either one. Could it be the crossover signal? Dont see any obvious signs of meltdown or wiring crossed, fuses good. I am stumped! Anyone seen this before? Thanks for the time and help if you can.
