I am having a hard time finding these types of Home Theater Furniture for my 50" Sony LCD television. Does anyone recognize where these units are from?
I think these are ultra modern and don't look really cheap like the ones you see at a retail store.

These pictures came off of the Mitsubishi website.

Has anyone else noticed how center speaker inconsiderate TV/AV stand designs are?

I've had serious problems finding the right unit that both catches my eye and fit my components. There always seems to be some measurement that doesn't work.

I'm thinking about getting into cabinet design and taking care of it for myself!

IMO tv stands are generally way over priced at the high end for what you get.
Center channel openings seem to be too small in the majority of stands/credenzas.
I contacted a local craftsman I found in the yellow pages and he can build a custom credenza using solid wood of my choice to my design, basically matching some of the designs I see online, between $600 and $800. I may go with red oak but prefer tighter grains and hope he can get some birch.
Before dropping lots of money on a mail order stand try your local cabinet makers. Many have amazing skills and costs are more reasonable.

I recently purchased after designing a unit online the salamander online tool via the best buy magnolia department since you can not buy direct. Still waiting for the unit to come in takes about 4-6 weeks.

Where I live we have several HUGE furniture stores and I found what I needed there. It was made by hooker. I have done the custom made in the past but it always looked home made to me and I wasnt happy with it
