I need a Home Theater Receiver

I need a new receiver . It will be used for FM , CD (background music) and watching
DVD's. It will be driving Klipsch WB-14's (8 ohm, 92 spl ) and an Energy powered sub.
Should I cheap out and do the $150-250 sony pioneer or go for the Marantz NR 1402.
The Marantz is only rated at 50 watts and is close to $400.

There are a LOT of options between those prices. I'd be tempted to get the Marantz Sr4023 from A4less at $269 for stereo.

I'd probably look at a Denon AVR-1712.
