I need a cable/wire to hook up my computer to my receiver. My sound card has a single cable input that is colored green. I have my cheesy computer speakers plugged into it now. I believe it is pretty standard but i dont know the name. I want a good quality cable to hook up my reciever. Should I just go to fred meyer or radio shack or is there big differences in cable qualities? any recommendations on where and what to buy?

Just make sure that your cable is clean and correctly manufactured and you will be OK. Clean contacts to make a difference, but if you're not already indoctrinated into the belief in expensive cables, you don't need to go there unless you just NEED to spend money.

ok, if there isnt really a difference then I'll just go to radio shack.

The green colored jack on a sound card is the analog line-out/speaker out. A receiver will have left (white) and right (red) RCA jacks.

You need a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug to 2 RCA cable. They are available everywhere and shouldn't cost more than a few bucks.
