I have speaker wires but which is positive and which is negative!!

I have these speakers wire the Monster SP THX Certified. Which is the positive and which is negative. All I know is one side of the jacket has Monster SP THX and signal flow >>>> printed on it is this the negative side or positive side. Anybody.

It doesn't matter as long as you are consistent. By convention, the wire with a marking on it is used for the positive and the other for the negative.

yeah... it doesnt really matter all that much, all you are doing is completing a circuit so you can put them in any way really.

Yep, I used to use those wires. I just used the writting side as negative.

Well than you had reversed polarity,any speaker wire with a marking on it or lines and the other has none is the positive side.

No, I just used it as the negative one. Just the way I did it. Now I have Silver and copper colored ones so I use the silver as negative.

It makes no dang difference as long as you are consistent. I always hook the one with the writing to the red post. That's me. You could do the reverse and that would be just as good as long as you did it the same each time.
