Hello to all i'm new to this AudioHolics website.
Has anybody purchased this reciever and has had problems with low volume
if you have cans someone please let me know what they did to fix this.

I've heard advice like Intelli volume increase
redue the Audssey Mult qxt
use a SPL Meter

I've tried all of this and i still can get the sound to comout correctly

so i was wondering what is the correct settings for this reciever

p.s this is my second reciever of the same model first i returned it and got something else then i return that reciever because i just didn't like it so i went to another store and got another tx-nr809 and samething with low sound

any intell on settings?

I hope it's something simple. Some forums have some very detailed instructions on setting up Audyssey.. maybe you missed something or left it in some compressed mode for night listening, etc, or something else ON, when it should be OFF?
I have no idea, and I am getting mine delivered tomorrow. I have read a couple of complaints like yours but most don't seem to be having any problem.
Make sure your sub pre-setup is correct also.
You can do the ol' meter and tone setup and not do Audyssey. If it works better than at least you will know the AVR is probably ok and it is something in the auto-cal that is causing the problem.

Try a fresh setup

I just setup my 809 this morning, and I strongly suggest using the quick instructions FIRST. Mine did not come with a full manual, only the CD. I also downloaded the full manual on pdf to have on my pc.

Use the quick instructions which will take you through all the basics setups including calibration. Then once you have everything 'running' you can go back through the manual to do additional tweaks or setups. I think this will help reduce human errors and poor results some are reporting the first time around.

There are instructions for resetting it to factory defaults if you want to start over.

The connection for the setup mic is located under the large front flap on the upper right. After attaching the microphone automatically opens the graphical user interface of the Audyssey MultEQ XT system, verify connections.
