I have 2 av receivers. Which one should I sell?

I’m trying to find the specs for my old receiver!!

It’s a Samsung E5330 3D Blu ray player/receiver. 2012 vintage. A 5.1 receiver.

I’ve tried leafing through the manual and googling without success. I want to know how many watts per channel it puts out.

All I found was Amazon says it puts out 1000 Watts. Could it really be 166.67W per channel?? (1000/6?) I’m confused.

I’d like to know cause I ordered a Denon X4000 which puts out 125W per channel. But I recently found out Samsung will repair my Blu ray player/receiver for free. So now I have two.

Which do I keep? Which do I sell?

Thanks!!

Keep ‘em both. It’s slim pickins’ out there! Oh, and the Denon smokes the Samsung by a mile. Welcome to the forums! :)

Sometimes gear is more useful kept and put to use (like in another room)....but yeah the Denon is by far the better unit

Oh, the Samsung does have wattage ratings in its manual, but only at 3 ohm, for 165 or 170 watts per channel (depending which channel) but doesn't specify under what conditions it can put out that power as to frequency range or distortion level so not a whole lot of use but likely it is only at 1kHz and with a high amount of distortion. The Denon isn't rated for 3 ohms so not particularly comparable, typical ratings for avrs will be at 8 ohms (so naturally a lower wattage rating at 8 ohm vs 3 ohms, even from the same amp, just the way that works) and we like to see at least a 2ch rating from 20Hz-20kHz at a fairly low distortion spec, the Denon specs you can see here https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1020220/Denon-Avr-X4000.html?page=254#manual

edited as I had the 8 vs 3 ohms reversed the way I wrote it....
