I finally got my system!! Input...

Hey all,

After way too many years of waiting, I finally finished my system by getting my speakers. Man, movies with good sound is sooooo much better. I don't know how I lived without it for so long. Even my girlfriend (Who could give a hoot about good sound...women...) commented on how much better it was.

Anyhoo, here are some pics of my setup. Any comments or suggestions on the system or layout are welcome.

The first two pics are with the grilles on and the second two are with the grilles off...I like to point out the obvious

Question, what is the deely on top of your mains? Please say it's just a thing, and not something geared towards better sound..

They're little wooden elephants....women and their decorations. Oh well, I can't complain, she let me buy towers for our little tiny apartment. I guess I'll just have to live with the elephants....

Klipsch are defenitly the best looking speakers to me, I love the orange cones.

ps3

How is that ps3? Does it live up to expectations? Madden is by far my favorite game. I really want one but cant fathom spending the dough, the marked up price as seen on ebay.I also heard of recalls and glitches with the video card. Is this true with your unit? I dont mean to pry but what did the ps3 cost you? Base unit, extra controllers and of course the madden? Oh yeah how did you get it? My bday is next month and that is going to be at the top of my list.

On a side note I just picked up the wii. Its pretty cool but the graphics are definitely sup par.

Great system. However you might want to take whatever is on top of your receiver and move it someplace else. You risk overheating and damage to your receiver this way. Receivers need at least 3 inches of clearance above them if not more.

How is that ps3?

I love it. I have had it or about a month and I haven't had any problems with it yet. I actually got mine at Best Buy for regular retail, same with the games, controllers etc... So I was lucky and got everything for regular price. Also i bought Best Buy's Replacement Plan so if I have any problems, they just exchange it for me...no need to send it for repairs.

I only have one complaint...since it's so new, the game selection isn't that big yet...but it's Playstation, they'll have a huge library within the year.

Graphics are awesome and Blu-Ray playback is sweet too. Sound and Vision magazine said great things about it's Blu-Ray playback as well.

Oh yea, Nice TV chadd. I love Pioneer plasmas...and Deftechs too...me likey. I was gonna get some BP7004's but the Klipsch's were a better deal (Broke college student here) and I didn't have to drive 8 hours to get them...Either way, I love my Klipsch's!!!
