... so far, I've had 3 hours all to myself and I've been jamming everything I own. My CD's, my iPod, internet radio, everything.

LOL.

I'm awaiting a leak detection guy that my insurance is sending out. Think I got a busted pipe. Haven't had water for a few days. I've turned it on for a bit a couple of times, but the last time had some water creep onto the floor. :( Least I know where its coming from. So, no music listening possible with the stereo right now. I can still do movies though! :D

It's isolated to hot water. So, at least I can use the toilet and my brush my teeth now. :D

Options are to jackhammer, or epoxy. I'd prefer the latter.

Of course, I tried picking the guy's brain. It seems that he quite recommends Aquapex if I ever wanted to replace piping.

We still have to isolate if my leak is from a length going to the kitchen sink, or to the water heater.

Will be talking with him and insurance on Monday, hopefully.

TALK ABOUT A THREAD HIJACK!!!
Done, and sorry.

Whatcha listentin' to now? :D

I had a leak in the foundation at one point that took out about 1500 sq ft of wood floors over the course of the year it was leaking. It was an ordeal so I totally feel for you.

I got to listen to just about everything I wanted. I dug deep. I downloaded some stuff from iTunes of songs that I've thinking about lately. A hodge podge really - Elvis: My Way, Beach Boys-Good Vibrations, Saga-On the loose, Moving Pictures-What about me, and Barry Manilow-Mandy (yes, you read right).

I dug out everything from Planet Patrol to Styx, Sum 41, Muse, Taproot, to Conferderate Railroad, Lightning Seeds, and Tory Amos.

I just listened to a lot of different stuff at a pretty loud volume, I had it anywhere from +2 to +4db. I got the speakers in a really good spot and changed from Pure Direct which sounded utterly fantastics on some things and like total garbage on others. I do like using some of the surround formats that come with the Elite 94. It pushes the center pretty hard, but on some tracks it adds a nice effect I like listening to.

All in all, in was a great afternoon.

Anyway... I hope you get to shower with hot water soon.

My first day of five weeks off and all I really did was sleep. When I woke up from time to time, I watched episodes of the Hot Rod TV marathon. I think I'd like to make my next car a Superformance Coupe in a few years. http://www.superformance.com/coupe.aspx

Josten, I hate dealing with water issues in the home. Nothing will destroy a home as quickly as water, whether through the roof, the foundation, windows, drains or clean water pipes. Indoor plumbing is one of the greatest achievements of our civilization, but also one of the most frustrating.

What, huh?, did someone call me?

My old roommate owns a few buildings and we had to use myself and my cousin, Sledge Hammer;), to rip out a few hunded feet of concrete through most his basement when some tree roots broke through, grew into, and blocked up the sewer pipe running under his place. It was a lot of work and a real hassle, I feel for you.

(as to the OP's question, I just got home from work and am gonna play me some Resistance on the PS3 before I go to bed):D

I swear it feels like I was at a concert. My ears are still ringing just a bit from yesterday. I think I'll tone it down a bit next time.

Thank you everybody for your welcome empathy. I know my issue is an all too common one. I am looking forward to showering later today, elsewhere.

I've been doing that as well to myself lately. I was always paranoid about protecting my hearing before, but this new hobby is dangerous to our hearing. I'll blame it on watching the entire BoB set, the Kill Bills, and other action movies.

I watched a movie last night a few notches lower than I usually do. Still had some good dynamics, and perhaps I will adapt my tastes to such volumes; shouldn't be too hard. However, sometimes others ask me to crank it louder, so . . .
