I am in a Pickle and Do not like it

In 2009 I put together a home theater system on some what of a budget, due to my wife watching me like a hawk. Well I bought a HK receiver that is now going bad, the hdmi out is fading like Lebron James' hairline. So I have an Emotiva Amp, and Magnepan Speakers for the center and left right and emotiva speakers for surround/back all 4 ohm hence the amp.

I use the system play video games and occasionally watch a movies.

My question is should I just go the route of another receiver and use it as a pre/pro or just foot the bill for a pre/pro?

Thanks,
Presley

A receiver is gonna be cheaper. Just get one with pre-outs. 6 years is actually a good run for receivers these days IMO.
