I received a recommendation to purchase a Yamaha 120WX7 surround receiver with HDMI, and found a YAMAHA RX-V1600
Yamaha RX-V1600 120Wx7 7.1 Channel Digital Home Theater XM Satellite Receiver
(Manufacturer: YAMAHA - Part No: RX-V1600 - SKU: 1522951) on Overstock.com for $589.99. Are they one and the same??

Yamaha 7.1 systems with HDMI in that power range consist of the RX-V661, RX-V861 and the RX-V1600. The RX-V1600 is a good buy. Depends on what you want to use the HDMI for.

When the new models come out next month (RX-V3800 and RXV1800) you might be able to get a good deal on the current RX-V2700 or RX-V1700 model. Both are newer and have more features than the 1600 model you listed.

I agree with JCPANY. Prices have already dropped significantly on the 1700 and 2700. I'd wait and get one of those instead of the 1600.
