GO-NAD!

Just watched this on BD and thoroughly enjoyed it. It doesn't have the budget of a typical American war movie, but they the most of what funds they had. It illustrates the complication of the war in Afghanistan, where there are no clearly defined good or bad guys. I thought the plot stayed within the bounds of plausibility - somehow many war flicks have a problem with. And it was well acted and scripted.

The picture quality was good, with a bit of grain in the places. The sound quality was fine, with clear dialogue. The gunfire and explosions weren't as face-flattening as most modern American movies, but good, nevertheless. The surrounds didn't draw my attention much, as their use was subtle.

I recommend for at least a rental. When the price comes down some more, I might even buy it.
