Looks like it will make landfall sometime tomorrow on Florida's NW coast. Even though I live in north St Augustine on the NE coast it seems that we will experience some big weather here as well. Stay tuned.

Wishing you well on the weather front....we're getting some badly needed rain right now with some wind, but no close lightning at least....but not hurricane style!

Best of luck with that approaching hurricane. Never ever underestimate even a tropical storm. I've been dealing with Hurricanes tropical storms since 1965. Katrina hit New Orleans, Close to, two thousand, drowned, dead missing. Assisted living the elderly and cripple were abandon by staff left infirm elderly, disabled to fend for themselves.

Any medications you or family members are taking, stock up, First aid kit, rations of food, drinking water and non perishable foods. Can meats and stuff like that stock up. Batteries, flashlights and so on, just in case. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound in cure. If you have any friends or family members closer to the eye of storm give them a call warn them don't take it lightly.

Thanks. It now looks like the brunt of this storm will hit the panhandle south of Tallahassee and NE Fla will miss most of the bad stuff. Unfortunately, the storm is scheduled to hit Atlanta with big rain and wind. Bad news for anyone flying in and out of Atlanta one of America's busiest airports.
