I've been waiting for The Hunt For Red October on Blu-ray ever since the format came out. I remember being awestruck by the sound of this movie in the theater back in the day, (especially the sound of the subs "pinging" each other).

I'm sooooooooooo glad that they're putting the movies out individually. I didn't want to buy the whole Jack Ryan collection, when the only movie I was really interested in is this one.

This movie was awesome. Sean Connery is one heck of an actor. Wouldn't mind seeing it again as it has been a while. Thanks for the info darien.

Cheers,

Phil

And he looked damn cool in that white flat-top. :D

Sean's always been one of my favorite actors. I named my last Conure, Sean, after him.

Yeah, he really played the part. Another one of those actors that completely disappears into his role so well that it becomes quite convincing. In essence, Sean is very talented.

Cheers,

Well now, you may have a point. :p:p I was speaking in general terms. There is no doubt, that some actors/actresses can do fake accents better than others.

To each his own. I really enjoyed this movie when it came out. It's starting to feel a bit dated, but overall I still enjoyed it when I watched it over the winter. Not sure if it's worth me double dipping though.

A great movie. No need for BD, though, as I enjoy it thoroughly on standard DVD.

I actually never purchased it on SD b/c it always seemed to be on TV! Seriously- I must have watched it 8 times in the past 2 months on one of the movie channels.

Will definitely pick it up for BD.

I enjoyed the film but it is far from my favorites of all time, and I enjoy military themed films. It will have to be bargain priced at around $10-15 before I buy the BD.

I would never watch any movie that often, no matter how much I liked it. It would quickly become boring. (I try to never watch a given movie or TV episode more than once per year.)
