Good riddance to bad rubbish, I say! I can't stand those ugly, impractical, gas guzzling things. That's not to mention the fact that most people I see driving them act like they own the road!

The brand will be more commercial now, as this guys do not make such great products specially on the autos area. What a shame.

That's all it ever was. Commercial. Nothing more.

I've always thought that this vehicle represented the very worst of America to the world. Badly built, insanely wasteful, utterly contemptuous conspicuous consumption. Besides, I can't afford one. Maybe the Godless Commie Slavemasters will get their commupance.;)

Nice to see a fellow Audioholic from MA feel exactly how I feel. I'm sure you've seen those folks driving Hummers afraid to hit potholes.

That's understandable... they are really, really poorly built.

Seriously, I have no life.
This one might be slightly worse. A behemoth..."These trucks are built for customers who want to make a statement ..." : "I am an idiot..."
8 feet high, 20 feet long, weighs 10500lbs. A guy not far from my place (in the city) has one...
It almost looks like an extended, 2 axle 18 wheeler;):D

I inserted a picture of a Smart Car (done to scale, of course)
:D

Although it looks like someone was having small…ahem “car”… issues

Maybe Emotiva should get into the car stereo making business. A beast of a system for a beast of a truck? It’s only natural, given Emo is also made in China

You could probably keep one of those Smart Cars in the glove box of the truck. I hear the biggest problem with the Smart Cars in Holland is that people pick them up and throw them in the canals. They would make cute coffins, though.;)

Ah, good ole Top Gear. I'm actually considering a Smart Car right now. They are gas powered with almost double the HP, and still average 5.4L/100Km combined.

They also have a *minor* issue with rolling over as if they were a Mercedes SUV. They are apparently pretty strong, but being so small, even a collision with a compact car will destroy one. Road & Track had a letter from a reader that said there were a few cars on the market that get better gas mileage and actually cost less than the Smart such as the Nissan Versa.

As for Hummer being sold to a Chinese company...I don't really care. That which was seen as very "American" is no longer even an American company. I wouldn't be surprised if you started to see a ton of them show up used soon.

I personally thought Hummers were freaking awesome looking. I'd drive one if it got more than 15 miles to the gallon.... and cost less.... and fit in my driveway... lol.

I liked them before they went consumer with the H2, H3, etc...

No doubt, the REAL Hummers were cool, but the "street" versions are just awful. I would totally drive a H1.

In the Bay Area, you don't see as many Hummers as you do in Texas. I think saw one--maybe one Excursion the whole time I lived in Silicon Valley in the late 90's early naughts. I moved to Texas, and I see at least two per day. There are plenty of H2 and H3 driving fools here. Hell, people here even buy those pointless Avalanches and Ridgelines. (However, even here no one drives around in an El Camino or Subaru Baja.)

Every market is different. The Suburb...I mean H2 will continue to sell well until GM cuts off resources to the Chinese group.
