here is my rig. critique as you wish.

i have some work to do on the board(paint it), and it is on top of my old/small surrounds, BOSTON HD5's. i used to have the gear on top of the tv.

the center speaker DOES NOT touch the tv in any way. it is on a stand i made that wraps around the back and under the tv.

Very clean nice setup you got there....

I wish Altec Lansing was still in the mainstream for home audio. They have a few speakers, but not many dealers carry them (but maybe they would if they would broaden their scope of products).

Also, nice set up. It sure looks like the center is touching the TV, you fooled me.:D

i wonder about their quality. they sounded good and looked good, at the time, 1990ish. and i didn't know much about "quality" audio then.

anyway. here is the 1/4" gap. (this pic will be deleted when my alotment starts to run low)

Nice set-up!

I really liked that scene in The Brave One. She did an outstanding job with her facial expressions in that scene, IMO.

Nice setup! How do you like the Dayton sub?

you guys are too kind. thats all humble stuff, i know it. but i will tell you what. with my old reciever, yamaha rxv850, and my home built sub. that set up rocked pretty darn good. the surround on the sub dry roted, and then i wanted 5.1. and so far it has yet to sound nearly as good as it did before.

one large problem i do have = a fair amount of slap echo, from the concrete ceiling.

Matt. look in the diy room for my thread. in a nutshell = i'm still trying to figure my new stuff out.

UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I now have a new display.
just out of the box.

notice the added height. and the right side goes out to about the outside of the speaker.

good enough for now. i think i would like it a few inchs higher.
sure wish i could have got the 73". o-well, maybe next time. but this is a vast improvement over the old set.

btw, the sub on the left is my old one. its just a box now, being used for a stand.

Jesse, nothing wrong with being resourceful. I can now see why you want my BR player. Very nice improvement!!!!!

Cheers,

If you're in the market I may have some Altec series 7's that may or may not have pencil holes in all of the woofers and midranges. My dad may or may not have murdered my brother for doing this.
