alrighty then, no one out there may be able to help with this as my setup is kind of unique but what the hey, i'll throw it out there. i have a dual boot mac mini HTPC with dual drives. the original drive boots to mac and the SSD boots to windows 7. i run my media in windows 7. i have the remote paired to the mini in mac. the mac has a built in infrared reciever. i use media browser/windows media center as my movie player and jriver as my music player (i have heard they use the same/similar remote commands). i am trying to get my harmony remote to play nice with these, i have a harmony 880. i have tried the downloaded harmony codes for both windows media center and microsoft mce keyboards, no commands are seen by wmc or jriver. usb keyboard and mouse commands work fine. any ideas where to start troubleshooting this?

I probably just looked at the same sites that you did, but from what I've found, the built-in IR receiver won't work with Windows so you need to get a USB IR receiver. Hopefully that's wrong, but that's what I've been seeing.

Btw, I just got my first Mac Mini on Friday, and I have an SSD with Windows 7 already on it. Not to hijack your question, but do you know if I could put that SSD in as-is, or would I have to reinstall Windows? Thanks!

i have really no idea on that one. if i had to venture to guess, i would think that win 7 would have to be integrated into the windows environment (like with bootcamp). i unfortunately did not install windows myself on mine, someone else did it for me and told me that it was not easy to do. however, he had never done anything like this before he admitted.
