Hello:

Have anyone had experience with HTD (Home Theater Direct) speakers, I found them thorugh another forum, but i can't find any real review about them. Their prices and specs seem very good, but need and expert advice before considering them...

thanks...

They do look nice, as do their specs. I found THIS on Google (I cannot view it... blocked at school).

I've got a pair of their old level four bookshelves. I bought them on clearance when they started coming out with the new models. They're pretty good. The models I have at least are built to a very high standard. They're made of MDF 1" thick and they're internally braced, also veneered with real wood . . so the cabinet construction is top notch. Also when I opened them up the drivers and crossover looked pretty high end as well, although made in china. Very large magnet on the woofer and neodymium on the tweeter. For some reason though, the speakers sound a bit closed in and boxy. Didn't really know what those terms meant until I listened to them compared to some Vienna Acoustics. All the sound is there, just sounds more like it's coming from speakers. New models look completely different though so I don't know if this will be much help to you. The models I own are built very well though.
