HT 'Stealth' Speaker Selection

Newbie here... need some recommendations.

I'm planning to completely upgrade my HT setup. The 'boss' doesn't want large speakers in the living room so I need to consider a stealth installation. This setup will be mostly used for movies but will occasionally used for music (80% vs. 20%). So far, I've decided on the TV and receiver... the Panasonic TH-50PX500U Plasma and the Denon AVR-3806.
I'm struggling with the speaker set up for this 7.1 system.

I've been considering the Polk in-wall speakers TC265i (Fronts) and the TC65i for all of the surrounds.

I just recently discovered the Axiom architectural series W3, W100, and W150s. These look quite interesting.

I would like to spend between about $2.5K for the speakers. Any pro/cons for these different speaker setups. I don't know much about Axiom, but it looks like they have received good review for other speaker systems.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

I also recommend that you check out the on-wall and in-wall offerings from companies like:

Phase Technology
Definitive Technology
Leon Speakers

I'll look into those systems...

With an in-wall system is there really a significant issue with the sound quality of the speaker depending on what's in the wall cavity? This is one of my concerns with an in-wall system. Although I do like the stealth aspect.

speaker recomendations

not that i can be of much help in your speaker selection but im going through the same process you are. just seems like no one installs in wall speakers, and even less can recommend a good set.

i can tell you NOT to get the polk 55's, they sound terrible, however the 65's sound nice. havent had a chance to hear the 265's yet.

i heard some niles in-wall, they are pricey, but also sound good. a few people have recommended these to me, so im probably going to go with them, i found a vender that will sell a set (4 surronds and 1 center) for 1250 bucks. thats about 300 more then the polks, 5 -65's and 1-265..

check out "cult of the infinitely baffled" for your subwoofer, this is what im going to do, its the best bass for the money, and if youre building the basement, you shouldnt have any problems building an enclosure for the 15" woofers. i have a strick budget to work with for my set up, and spending 1250 bucks on the in wall speakers really hurt my options for a nice sub, thankfully with much research, i found that website...

hope this helps, james
