HT speakers Klipsch or B & W

Just finishing a HT room in the basement, 14' x 19' x 6'5" tall. Plan on a Yamaha RX-V1600 receiver and a 5.1 system from klipsh RF-35, RC-35, RS-35 and a RW-12 sub or B & W DM603, LCR60, DM600 and a ASW600 sub. The room will have carpet and leather furniture. I'm into action / sci-fi and rock to contemporary jazz. What do you think.

Both brands are good. As has been said so many times before, you've got to listen to them & let YOUR ears decide.

I brought a pair or Klipsch RB-35's home for a demo & liked them a lot.

Don't tie your sub purchase into your front & surround purchase.

Ive got the same system as you, except with a yahama 557 and a axiom ep500 for my sub...I would say def look into axiom or SVS for a sub, the ep500 has made my system what I had dreamed it would be, and my room is a bit larger than yours. Only reason I didnt get the plus/2 from svs was because im in college and will be moving alot, so the 140 pounder didnt make sense, but I can't imagine needing more bass than the ep500 allows, i live in apartments/townhouse style homes and my neighbor three houses down said I knocked all the paintings off his wall my first day with the ep500

of the spectrum. With Klipsh being direct, bright and the B&Ws laid back and mellow,,almost dark sounding. You need to figure out which type of sound you appeals to you most and for how long
