M mekong Audiophyte Jan 1, 2005 #1 Okay, for now I have the T.V., but I need everything else so, I am thinking of starting off with the amp, a Pioneer VSX-1014tx-k. I need speakers and a DVD player. I am willing to spend approximately $2k (Canadian) for these components. Suggestions for the best bang for my Canadian buck? And where should I look for these items - Future Shop, Best Buy, Visions ? peece!

L Leprkon Audioholic General Jan 2, 2005 #4 the Axioms are on Audioholics' recommended system list. http://www.audioholics.com/showcase/systemguide/mid_system.php the Energy units are well-regarded for sound quality in posts here and use some of the more beautiful wood I've seen (judging fom the site pics). either would be a solid buy.
