HT setup for a small living room in NY

The living room is around 12x13

I was looking at the sound bar systems Bose, B&W, Sonos, Yamaha, Klipsch but realized sound bar systems are still not as good as true 5.1 speaker system. (due to the limitation of the small living room, I don't think I can set up the 7.1 speaker system.) Bose Lifestyle is very attractive with the small aesthetic looking speakers, however the more I read about Bose in this forum, the more hesitant I became toward Bose products.

What I would like is small speakers but still look good and with quality sound. I've been searching through audioholics forum and read about b&w mt60, paradigm cinema CT 5.1, KEF Kht3005se 5.1 Speaker Package with Kube2 subwoofer Black. I think I am leaning toward KEF KHT3005se more.

Does anyone have any other recommendation/suggestion? Would anyone know where in manhattan I can go to take a listen to the KEF system?

For the price, $399.99, this is an exceptional value. I have heard the Mordaunt Short Aviano and it was a very nice sounding speaker.

A soundbar isn't as good as a good true 5.1 system, but if you really want a soundbar, you can get a good one:

Something like that would be better than a poor 5.1 system.
