Here is my current set-up:

2x Deftech SM450s as mains
2x Deftech BP2X for surrounds
Deftech CLR 2002 for center
2x Blose OLD cubes as "presence" speakers
Supercube 1 sub
Yamaha RX-V3800
HD Cable Box
Xbox 360
Music Hall mmf 2.1 turntable
Yamaha Stereo Cassette deck KX-300U
Yamaha Video Cassette Recorder YV-700
Seriosuly upgraded gateway computer
4 gig of ram
1 TB of disk space
AMD X2 Dual Core 6k+ (overclocked to 3.6Ghz)
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX overclocked edition
Vista ultimate SP1 with media remote and HD cable tuner
19 inch LCD
24 inch wide screen LCD
All power filtered by a Panamax M5300PM

Everything is fully interegrated with everything else. I can use both monitors independantly or together as a stretched screen with multiple video sources if I want, liek watch tv on one and use the computer on the other, or use the computer on both, or watch different tv stations on both, and each can do a PIP for up to four channels if I really wanted.

Currently I also have an IF remote for my dimmable recessed lighting as well as a remote for my AC unit.

I replaced the drop down ceilings with a whats going to be a plastered ceiling, its not yet done but heres the picture so far.

Future upgrades include replacing the smaller 19 in screen with a 50 inch TV monitor as well as getting a nice programmable remote with a large LCD display to control everything easily. I also want a PS3 for bluray and SACD. Not sure what else I need.

Heres the equipment rack:

Here's another of the monitors

Here's a shot I took last week before I did a major overhaul....

Also that phone I have is connected to a really powerful phone system that I can integrate into my system if I wanted... like put a -20dB mute on the system if the phone rings. I haven't done anything yet with it though.

Did I miss anything?

Well I had the drop down ceiling which had great acoustical dampening but they SHAKE like crazy and add a LOT of noise so I am in the process of putting in a regular ceiling

Its a MASSIVE subwoofer.... j/k. Its actually a portable air conditioner. There is no circulation throughout the room because its in the basement with no windows so it gets really hot and humid. Behind the wall is an unfinished portion of the basement which is where it vents to. Ultimately I have to vent it outside. I would also liek to place the unit behind the wall and just puts some vents through the walls to decrease noise in the room. I really cant watch a full movie with it off, it gets really hot.

Nice kit!

I also want a PS3 for bluray and SACD.
Just make sure you get a 20GB, 60GB or the original80GB model otherwise you will not be able to play SACD.

If you need to know more there's a PS3 SACD FAQ at ps3sacd.com

I was planning on getting the most expensive verison of the PS3 anyway. One question I do have is if the SACD player on it sounds as good as stand alone units. Also is it possible to control it via a universal remote at all?

The only way to control the PS3 with a universal remote is with this IR adaptor

(or something like it). It has to be an IR remote though.

Thanks for all the info/advice.

So it seems all I need is an IR capable remote (I think ill get the Pronto TSU9400, as I can get it really cheap), a SACD enabled PS3 with IR receiver, a big HD LCD TV as well as mount the center channel on the wall. I think that covers everything. ooo I'm excited :D:D

Some will argue it sounds even better, especially with the introduction of 'Bit Mapping' options, particularly #3.
