HSU VS SVS BUILD QUALITY AND PERFORMACE??

Hello all, I'm new to the board and have a few questions for everyone about a few sub options...
For starters I have a 12" Klipsch sw 112 that works fine, but leaves me asking for more!..
I was pretty much set on getting an SVS PB12 plus or PC12 plus. It really looked to me that they had the upper hand on the Internet direct sub companies on build quality, longevity, warranty, power output and features. These are some of the things that are important to me, I don't want to pay a little less for something and be disappointed with it in a year or 2. Another concern of mine is sound quality, I know this is less of a concern with subs rather than speakers, but I want to be sure I get a really clean Bass output with alot a punch to it.
Bottom line is am i getting more from SVS with the 1300$ price tag for a PB12 plus? Or would I be better off with the HSU VTF-3 MK5 HP or even the VTF-15H-MK2 for just over 1000$ shipped. I do tend to lean toward the crisp sound of a 12" vs the 15" driver as well, however the more I read about the new 15" drivers I'm beginning to think this should be less of a concern. My listening area is on the larger side.. about 15x22 with 8 foot ceilings, and from there it does open up into the open concept main floor. I'm really looking for best bang for my buck, but like i said earlier I don't want to sacrifice quality to save a few dollars.
Thanks for the input, I look forward to reading it!

Sound quality wise they will both be very good. The Hsu subs will have more headroom especially above 30 Hz. The PB12 Plus will have a sturdier build though and a better standard warranty, but you can purchase an extended warranty on the Hsu subs that matches the 5 year SVS warranty and exceeds the driver warranty for something like an additional 70 or 80 dollars. The PB12 Plus is a bit higher end with a heavier cabinet build and nice piano gloss finish, but the Hsu subs will be more powerful. They should both be reliable subs, and the with standard SVS warranty and the Hsu extended warranty, you don't have to worry. Either will be good. Something else you might consider is getting two VTF2 mk5 subs, that will give you a lot of punch and do more to smooth out the response in-room than what a single sub can do.

shadyJ's advice on dual is a good one. You can also get dual PB2000 with little more than a single PB12 plus. My basement is little larger than your's with opening and very happy with dual PB2000. You cannot go wrong with either SVS or Hsu.

Going duals right now isn't in the option list. Quite possibly later as my home theater expands or I make my own theater room.
I am starting to consider PSA as an option aswell, Does anyone here have any experience with them vs SVS OR HSU?... Another concern I have is that the 15" drivers wont sound as crisp or as punchy as the 12's in the SVS. Is this something that should concern me?
Thanks guys

6 of one, half dozen of the other. You will not have an issue with either.

PSA was founded by one of the founders of SVS. Again, little to worry about, but SVS and HSU have been around a lot longer. There are countless threads on this forum about these brands.
