Upgrading to Monolith 12

Moving from a VTF-2 to a Monolith 12 is too lateral of a move, in my opinion. The Monolith 12" is a higher performing sub, but not massively so. I would set your sights higher in an upgrade. Look at the 15"s from Hsu or the Monolith 15". The Outlaw X13 or SVS 3000s should be a significant upgrade as well, and also the Paradigm Defiance X12.

damn, i was about to pull the trigger. like right now seriously because i have a buyer for the vtf2 for $450

are you sure? i thought the mono 12 was at least a couple notches above the vtf2.
ill look at the price for the mono 15 with t he 20% coupon

I might characterize the Mono 12 as a notch above the VTF-2 but not two notches. I have experience with both subs. You can compare them in these reviews: Mono 12 and VTF-2. Both are great subs.

I would bet getting a 2nd VTF-2 MK5 would be a major improvement. I love my VTF-2 and will buy a second when I have the money. Moving up in quality/price also means it's going to be a bigger sub. The other subs I'm looking at are from Rythmik. Servo controlled subs are new to me, but I'd love to hear them.
