HSU extends VTF-3 HO preorder discount..

I didn't see this mentioned, so I grabbed it from another forum (which ironically links back to a CES article here...)

To those looking for a very high powered sub at an excellent price, Dr. Hsu has decided to extended the pre-order discount until the first Hsu VTF-3HO's actually start to ship.

The potential for saving $250 (from a Forum advertiser) breaks out like this:

'3 HO pre-order $799, after pre-order $899.
Shipping pre-order ~$50, after pre-order $100.
Turbo with pre-order $100, bought separately after pre-order, $200.

To those of you contemplating this, please note that if you pre-order now, you will have 6 weeks or more to read the first reviews and make your final decision, as the first batch (or even first 2 batches) have been sold out. HSU will contact you when your order is ready to ship and you can decide at that time (after reading early reviews) whether to actually make the purchase.

Little, if anything to lose.

For an idea of how potent these subs will be, take a look at this:

You have about 2 weeks more to pre-order.

Where did you see this? I have looked over at HSU forum....
I am really interested in the MK2 Turbo upgrade for 100.00
(since I might get 2 of them 100.00 off on each is a great deal)
(but how much is shipping for that, and is there only a 1 per person limit for pre-order??????)

I guess I will have to email Peter. I have not seen him here at AH lately (granted I was not really looking)

EDIT:: Here is the answer I got from sales (Alan)

And HSU reply.
The turbo charger option for the MK2 series is not yet
released(actually it is not even produced yet nor do
we have any prototypes yet). If it does come out
sometime this year, we expect the S&H cost to be about
$25.
The pre-order price for that will be around $100.

The piano black finishes are all gone; that was the
idea of the clearance sale we have had last year. We
will not be carrying any more piano black finishes.

Alan
HSU Research Sales
Thank you Alan.

However, from what I gather on this-- Is that you can not even pre-order the Turbo upgrade.
Basically going by this - "pre-order price for that will be around $100" Key word being 'around 100.00'

Hopefully I will find out more, I guess, I will hang out at HSU more often.
To keep myself updated........

Interesting. Why offer a preorder if they haven't even started producing them?

Brian,

How happy are you with your HSU?
I still think those pics make the sub look like a washing machine, or toilet. ;)
