How to terminate on-wall speaker cables

Hi folks,
Am surrounding my plasma with CSW on-wall speakers. What is the best way to connect the wiring. I am thinking a recessed binding post similar to those on speakers. But there's no room for extra wiring to hang around, I want it hidden. I may then just bring the wires thru the wall and solder the ends, then screw them into the speaker terminals. Is there a clean way to do that?
If I did anything else, I would need narrow, recessed box to install into the wall. help.
