I have Martin Logan SL-3 speakers.
I am using an Adcom 2535 and an NAD 2100 to bi-amp them.
I know I can do by ear and adjust bias as needed for taste and recording but...
Is there a "correct" method for setting SPL levels with Radio Shack meter to balance the sub and panel sections ?
When I tried setting with test tone and have both at 75db the bass is WAY too high...
Thanks, Jimbo007

I guess if not then -- by ear --- is how I'll have to go.

Thanks,

I have always set the level of my subwoofer by ear, though we used to calibrate everything to 82dB (even the subs) in the studios where I worked. However, in my experience watching DVDs, the subs are never the same.

And I usually lower the subs (using the receiver) for music, and then raise them for movies.
