Hallo! I am a newcomer to this forum. I would like help to recicle for home use a pair of church loudspeakers I bought for 5 euros (the pair). They are custom-built (probably) by a small italian firm (Melloncelli). The lodspkeakers work ok and the sound is good. This firm still exists. Also asked the firm to provide all possible information. Problem: since they are built for human voice, there only are mid-range speakers, 9 (nine) of them. So I would like to: build separately two woofers to connect to the B out of the amplifier (Marantz PM-45); replace one or more mid-range with tweeters. My main question is: how many tweeters to replace as many mid-range? Thanks for any help. Maurizio

Those are obviously line source PA speakers. You are wasting your time trying to integrate those into Hi-Fi speakers.

Have you tried them with a sub? Line source speaker will usually do very well for mids and highs with out a tweeter. Try them with a powered sub in your system. You may be surprised. If not crack them open and tell us what kind of driver or specs, may be an Eminence or Celestion that we can build a system with.
